Fire and Smoke Separations: Types and Applications
This seminar will review the types and applications of fire and smoke separations under the 10th Edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR). Topics will include when and where these separations are required, their intended purpose, and how they are implemented in building construction.

About our speaker:
Mark Barbadoro has been a State Building Inspector with the MA Office of Public Safety and Inspections (OPSI) within the Division of Occupational Licensure since 2023. Prior to that, Mr. Barbadoro served as a Building Official since 2008; starting as a Local Building Inspector in the Town of Acton and subsequently serving as the Building Commissioner in the Towns of Aquinnah and Oak Bluffs, as well as six (6) years as the Building Commissioner in the City of Fitchburg.
