Frederick J. Lonardo is the Building Commissioner for the Town of Princeton. He is also the Community Development Director of the Town of Westboro since January 2021. He has held this position, along with Building Commissioner/Zoning Enforcement Officer, since September of 2017. Under this newly combined position, the Community Development Department includes Building, Conservation, and Economic Development. This combined department works closely with the Planning Department to provide better and more inclusive services for all land use projects. Fred is responsible for overseeing the issuance of building permits, and zoning determination. Before joining the Westborough team, he was a Commissioner in two other communities, taking that experience to help unify Westborough and foster a great working relationship with all departments.
Fred’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine, an Associate of Architectural Technology degree from Wentworth University, a Masters in Business Administration from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Fitchburg State University, and completion of a Certificate of Local Government and Leadership program from Suffolk University.
Fred is married, and has two adult children.
